What was the highlight of Hotel Aveiro Palace

Lovely location and a good hotel for short stays

The location was lovely very central and very quiet at night with good access to the best of what averio had to offer, the staff were also very friendly and accomodating

The breakfast options where very limited in the morning, lacking options for fruit, bread, cooked options etc. The room, even though it was a suite was also quite limited, just a single sink, no place to hang a coat, no clocks anywhere, only a single bin in the room. The bar in the hotel was also extremely limited, only a handful of options with most items out of stock and extremely high prices, 15euros for a single spirit measure not including a mixer is more than double what we paid for a cocktail in a restaurant.

Lovely hotel in a great location but check what you are going to get. Don't accept room 109.

The hotel itself was very nice and in a great location, on the riverside. It is a lovely old building that has been remodelled in a complimentary, modern style inside. The breakfast buffet was very good, well stocked and served.

The room option we booked was advertised as having a river view and we paid an extra 40Eur for it. The room we were given (first floor, room 109) was directly above a noisy restaurant and as far away and at as oblique an angle as it was possible to get in the hotel. This meant that the room was noisy throughout the evenings and the only way to see the river was to stand in the corner of the balcony and look along the outside of the hotel wall. Even then, the only part of the riverside visible was a stretch of approximately 20m. I asked at the reception if this had been a mistake with our booking but was told that the hotel considers that to be a "river view". What made it all the more disappointing was that the three other rooms on our floor, with the same view aspect, were clearly empty for the duration of our stay. During our first day there, we left the hotel in the morning and returned late afternoon to find that the room had not be serviced. I asked at reception for it to be made up but received no apologies for the inconvenience of having to find somewhere else to go for another hour for them to do so.

The location was excellent and garage parking was close by. Marco, on reception was particularly helpful and a valuable member of staff. Good selection at breakfast. Very pleasant lounge area

Friendly and convenient

It’s very nice, clean hotel with a good location- walking distance to everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good. Parking is walking distance- underground of shopping centre.

Excellent location.

No bar area to speak of, very little atmosphere. A point of note, if you book a river view room be prepared to loose sleep due to revellers heading home in the early hours .

Aveiro or the hotel didn’t disappoint. Very helpful reception staff, and a delicious breakfast.

The hotel has no parking so it’s necessary to park at luggage drop off point, just outside the hotel,and then be guided to an underground car park in a shopping centre close by. There’s a discounted access card from the hotel for the car park.entry to the car park is quite difficult with a large car!
